HATHA YOGA
Hatha Yoga, brings both Strength & Flexibility to the body and mind, through deep breathing exercises in combination with physical poses Hatha yoga seeks to cleanse, connect and tone the body and mind.
The word Hatha means Willful or Forceful, it also translated as ha meaning “sun” and tha meaning “moon”. This refers to the balance of masculine aspects—active, hot, sun—and feminine aspects—receptive, cool, moon—within all of us. Hatha yoga is a path toward creating balance and uniting opposites.
By regularly practicing this style of yoga, you will have a leaner, stronger and more flexible body.

YIN YOGA
Yin Yoga is a part of the original Hatha Yoga tradition. In its modern incarnation, Yin Yoga combines the influences of Indian Yoga with Chinese Daoist practices and Western Science to improve our health on many levels.
Emphasizing on long-held, passive stresses of the deeper connective tissues, Yin Yoga mobilizes and strengthen our joints, ligaments and deep fascial networks.
Although we shouldn't target these parts of the body (to avoid injury), during yang styles of yoga like vinyasa flow or vinyasa ashtanga or any other repetitive active physical exercises, but they are our targets during yin yoga practices.
Also unlike the Sympathetic nervous system that is automatically on during our day to day life, which categorized as our fight or flight response, our Parasympathethic nervous system which has categorized as our rest and restore/repair or healing response, needs to be turned on by intention and creating the space for it. When these two go out of balance, ailments will follow!
And Yes, our body is designed to Self Heal but if we spend zero time in the healing space, zero natural healing will occur. Meditation, spa, vacation, yin yoga or just rest create that space for our parasympathetic nervous system to turn on.
For those who find it difficult to meditate, yin yoga acts as a bridge and prepare the body and mind for it; it is also known the yoga of rejuvenation because of its nature, type of energy and organs which involve during this practice.
By regularly practising this style of yoga and stimulating specific energy centres and meridians in the body, so many people have experienced releasing from their physical, emotional and mental pains & traumas that have been stored deep down in their bodies for a long time.
Therefore the guidance of a qualified yin yoga teacher for this process is highly recommended.
This is a gentle yoga and suitable for beginners and experienced yoga practitioners alike, however as always if you have any medical concerns, talk with your doctor before practicing yoga poses or any other exercises.
I hope to see you on the mat for this beautiful journey into yourself :)
